1 Assistant Engineer (Mechanical): A degree in Mechanical Engineering / B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) / Auto Mobile Engineering /Mechatronics Engineering
OR
A pass in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations (A.M.I.E) under Mechanical Engineering Branch
2 Assistant Engineer (Civil) : B.E. Civil Engineering /B.Tech(Civil)/B.E. Structural Engineering
OR
A pass in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations (A.M.I.E) under Civil Engineering Branch.
3 Assistant Engineer (Electrical) : A Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering / Information Technology / Instrumentation Engineering / Computer Science
OR
A.M.I.E(under Electrical Engineering Branch)
4. Sanitary Inspector (HD) :
1) Must have minimum qualification of B.Sc. Degree (main subject Chemistry) from the Recognized Institution approved by Government.
2) P.G. Diploma in Sanitary Inspector course conducted by Institutions recognized by the Government.
3) Certification in Computer course
Age Limit : The age limit for various categories is given below :-
For SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all Castes : Minimum age limit is 18 years and there is no maximum age limit.
For ‘Others’ [i.e. candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs] : Between 18 years to 30 years.
Scale of Pay :
Assistant Engineer : Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5100/-
Sanitary Inspector (HD) : Rs.9300 - 34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs.4200/-
Application Fee :
i) A Demand Draft for Rs.500/-(inclusive for Examination Fee) drawn in favour of “The Commissioner, Corporation of Chennai” payable at Chennai obtained from any Nationalized Bank on or after 13.12.2015

Selection Process : Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Main written examination (Objective Type) and Oral Test.
